Sri Lanka recall all-rounder after two years for Bangladesh ODI series
Sri Lanka have handed a recall to Kamindu Mendis in their ODI squad for the three-match series against Bangladesh.
Kamindu Mendis, who made a successful return to the T20I setup in the bilaterals against Afghanistan and Bangladesh, has made a return to the ODI squad for the first time since 2022.
Mendis had smashed an unbeaten 65 off just 39 balls in the third and final T20I against Afghanistan last month in the first innings since his comeback.
Lahiru Kumara, who last played in the format in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, also makes a return to the squad.
He will be part of a pace attack that also has Dilshan Madushanka, Pramod Madushan and Chamika Karunaratne. Asitha Fernando missed out on the squad due to injury.
