Following her exploits in the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand, Chamari Athapaththu climbs up the ICC Women's All-Rounders Rankings.

Sri Lanka’s seasoned campaigner Chamari Athapaththu moved up two spots in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings.

Athapaththu, who was part of Sri Lanka’s squad in the recent ODI series in New Zealand, overtook Black Ferns veteran Sophie Devine to share the seventh spot with Australia’s Annabel Sutherland.

The Sri Lankan all-rounder scored 25 runs and snapped three wickets during the series but was unable to take her team across the line as New Zealand captured a 2-0 win.

Elsewhere, India’s Deepti Sharma overtook Amelia Kerr to climb up one spot in the all-rounders rankings and now occupies the fifth spot.

In the ODI batting rankings, Nat Sciver-Brunt is now third in the tally, having overtaken Athapaththu for the spot.
