Tamim guides Bangladesh to 2-1 series lead

Bangladesh has taken a 2-1 lead in its five match home series against Zimbabwe with a comfortable four wicket win in the third ODI at Mirpur.

An 80-run contribution from opener Tamim Iqbal steered the home side towards victory after Zimbabwe had been restricted to 196 all out.

In-form opener Hamilton Masakadza was the only Zimbabwe batsman to make a big score with 84 from 79 balls as many of his colleagues struggled, particularly against spin.

A 98-run second wicket partnership between Tamim and Mohammad Ashraful was the difference between the sides as Bangladesh reached the target with over 11 overs to spare.
