India will be without the services of fast bowler Ishant, who dislocated his left little finger during the final day of the first Test against New Zealand in Kanpur.

Rahane, who led the side in Virat Kohli's absence in Kanpur, sustained a minor left hamstring strain while fielding on day five of the previous Test. Hence, he will miss the Mumbai Test.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja suffered a right forearm injury during the first Test match and after undergoing the scans, it was revealed that he has a swelling on his forearm. He has been rested from the second Test.

In the New Zealand contingent, their skipper Kane Williamson won't play this Test due to his prolonged left-elbow injury which has troubled him for much of 2021. Tom Latham will take over captaincy duties.

The toss has been delayed due to wet patches on the outfield, and another inspection at 10:30 AM IST.
