Umar Gul's record falls as Pakistan spinner creates history in Bulawayo
The 25-year-old spinner collected figures of 5/3 in a Player of the Match performance as Pakistan clinched their T20I series over Zimbabwe.
Spinner Sufiyan Muqeem claimed the best figures in a men's T20I by a Pakistan bowler as the Asian side clinched an emphatic series triumph with a dominant 10-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in Bulawayo on Tuesday.
Playing in just his seventh international match, Sufiyan collected figures of 5/3 from 2.4 overs as Pakistan bowled out Zimbabwe for just 57 before going on to record a crushing win at Queens Sports Club.

It means Sufiyan now holds the best bowling figures in a men's T20I by a Pakistan player, with his efforts exceeding previous five-wicket hauls in the shortest format from Umar Gul (two) and Imad Wasim.

Zimbabwe actually made a bright start to the match after they won the toss and elected to bat, with Brian Bennett (21) and Tadiwanashe Marumani (16) putting on 37 for the opening wicket inside five overs before Abbas Afridi (2/2) made the initial breakthrough.
Afridi got the big scalp of Sikandar Raza for three in his next over as the rot began to set in, with Sufiyan wreaking havoc throughout his 16 deliveries to exceed Gul and Wasim's figures and claim the record for a Pakistan bowler.
Pakistan wasted no time in chasing down the runs, with Saim Ayub (36*) and Omair Yousuf (22*) requiring just 5.3 overs to reach the victory target and ensure the side opened up a 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.
The third and final match of the series will be held in Bulawayo on Thursday.
