Umesh Yadav replaces Shardul Thakur in India's ODI squad
Thakur picked up a right adductor tendon injury on his Test debut last week just ten balls into his Test career and is ruled out of the series. Thakur has played in five ODIs to date.
Umesh Yadav comes into the ODI squad on a high after picking up the Player of the Match award in India's second Test against the Windies for taking ten wickets in the match. The 30-year-old Yadav is an experienced campaigner in ODI cricket, having appeared 73 times for this country in the format to date.
Yadav is now part of India's 14-man squad for the first two ODIs – they will announce their squad for the remainder of the series at a later point. The first ODI is this Sunday in Guwahati.
