Umpire appointments announced for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier Final

Thailand have qualified for their first ever ICC Women’s T20 World Cup after defeating PNG therefore securing a place at Australia 2020.

Thailand defeated PNG by eight wickets in the semi-final at Forfarshire Cricket Club and will be joined by Bangladesh in Australia who overcame Ireland by four wickets. They will now face each other in Saturday’s Final which will be live streamed with the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier trophy up for grabs.

Bangladesh will be competing in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup for the fourth time, for Thailand this will be the first time they are ever appearing in a World Cup.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 is to be held in the Australian cities of Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney from 21 February to 8 March next year.

The final day’s match official appointments and fixture line up has also been confirmed with Claire Polosak and Jacqueline Williams taking the field in the Final at Forfarshire Cricket Club with Kim Cotton as the reserve umpire. Ireland will face PNG in the 3rd and 4th place play off at the same venue.

Arbroath Sports Club plays host to USA v Namibia who will be competing for 7th and 8th spot and Scotland v Netherlands who are competing in the 5th and 6th place play off.
