Vanuatu Cricket i Blong Evriwan Update
The Asco Motors Cricket I Blong Evriwan Program last month was conducted by Vanuatu Cricket Development Officers on Thursday 24th May at Indepenence Park with 5 participants.
The program aims to provide people with a disability to participate in modified cricket programs.
The long term goal is to develop a disability program that can be integrated into the Vanuatu Cricket Associations mainstream schedule of events.
"This is a great initiative from the Vanuatu Cricket Association brought about through funding they receive from the Australian Government's Pacific Sports Partnership Program as well as local sponsors," said ICC East Asia-Pacific Regional Project Officer Adam Cassidy.
This month the participants enjoyed different cricket activites provided by the development officers such as cricket soccer, bat skills (race & relay) and continuous cricket.
The Asco Motors Cricket I Blong Evriwan Program is proudly supported by Asco Motors since 2008 and continues to demonstrate that everyone and anyone can play cricket.
