VENUE OVERVIEW
Gloucestershire Cricket is one of the 18 first class County Cricket Clubs in the UK. We were established in 1870, with WG Grace a founding member, one of the most famous and influential cricketers in history.
The Club is based in the heart of Bristol, in the Bishopston area, just off the Gloucester Road. Our home and main ground, has recently undergone a complete redevelopment to secure International Cricket at Bristol and has transformed our facilities for match days and for events on non-match days.
The Club has a strong focus on developing young cricketers with many of the current first team developed through the Gloucestershire Cricket Academy. Chris Dent, David Payne, Liam Norwell, Jack Taylor, Craig Miles, Matt Taylor and Miles Hammond in the 2016 first team squad have all graduated from the Academy.
Our Mission: “To sustain, develop and grow Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in order to be successful in the enterprise of cricket”.

CITY OVERVIEW
The largest city in South West England, Bristol is a renowned for its independent spirit and quirky culture. A port city of international significance, the harbour-side area is now home to water sports, museums, galleries, bars and restaurants and known for its beautiful multi-coloured houses lining the surrounding hills.
Bristol has over a thousand years of history with architecture from medieval times to the modern day. The city’s sweeping Georgian crescents and Victorian Gothic buildings are frequently used as film locations from Hollywood movies to cult classics, including Sherlock and Dr Who. It’s also one of Europe’s leading street art cities, birthplace of Banksy and still home to many of his famous pieces.
The city is increasingly regarded as the UK’s top destination for food and drink with everything from Michelin starred restaurants to street food markets. There is also something of a craft beer boom with plenty of breweries, as well as being the home of cider and an exciting cocktail culture.
The Brightside Ground is just to the north of the city centre, located close to Gloucester Rd, reputably the longest independent shopping street in Europe!
