West Indies, much like they did in the World Cup, allowed their opponents to come back into the game after being in a position of strength. Going into the final ODI, they face the prospect of another series defeat. India, meanwhile, are on the verge of registering their ninth successive series win against West Indies. While Virat Kohli continued his dominance in the 50-over format, Shreyas Iyer made a strong case for himself with a fluent 71 on his return. India will hope for a strong performance from Shikhar Dhawan, who is yet to produce an innings of note on the tour so far.
Remember the last timePowered by Kohli's 42nd ODI hundred, India posted 279/7 after winning the toss on Sunday. At 148/3 in the 28th over, with set batsmen Evin Lewis and Nicholas Pooran at the crease, West Indies looked well on course to chase down the revised target of 270 in 46 overs. However, they lost four wickets in two overs not long thereafter, and were eventually bundled out for 210 in 42 overs for a 59-run defeat by the DLS method.
