The Stafanie Taylor-led side also saw the return of Shakera Selman, who missed out on the tour of New Zealand earlier this year owing to injury.
There are several changes from that touring squad, who were blanked by the White Ferns, with the likes of Britney Cooper, Reniece Boyce, Kyshona Knight, Akeira Peters and Tremayne Smartt missing out.
Qiana Joseph, the 17-year-old quick who earned her maiden cap in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017, also came back.

Uncapped spinners Sheneta Grimmond and Karishma Ramharack will join them for the five Twenty20 Internationals to follow. The T20 games will serve as vital preparation for the ICC Women’s World T20 2018 at home, with the hosts seeking to defend their title.
Chairman of Selectors Courtney Browne said, “As we approach the ICC WWT20, both the ODI and T20 series will be key as out preparation continues towards the tournament. After a disappointing tour of New Zealand, our players now have the opportunity to be highly competitive in familiar conditions.”
The ODI series begins on 16 September at Kensington Oval, and the T20Is go on from 24 September to 6 October.
