South Africa’s Brits, fresh from top-scoring with 68 in the first innings, produced one of the moments of the World Cup in the field.

A sharp bouncer from Shabnim Ismail had Alice Capsey tucked up as she attempt to hook away her second ball, and she could only send the shot skewing away into the on side.

But it looked like England’s young batter was going to get lucky, with the ball seeming destined to fall in the gap between fielders.

Brits, however, had other ideas, flinging herself low to her right and pulling off an absolutely stunning one-handed catch.

Tazmin Brits took four catches in South Africa's semi-final against England including an incredible one-hander to dismiss Alice Capsey at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023

“What a catch!” exclaimed commentator Kass Naidoo. “You can’t keep Tazmin Brits out of the game.

“We said they needed some magic moments, and it doesn’t come any better than that.”

And fellow commentator Pommie Mbangwa was blown away by the brilliance of the catch.

“In a big semi-final it’s moments like these. It’s a second wicket in the over.

“You’ll watch this over and over and over again. Just fabulous. What a catch.”
