World reacts: Legends of the game congratulate England on World Cup win
βCricket was the winnerβ in the words of Sri Lankan great Sanath Jayasuriya as England and Pakistan played out a dramatic final at the MCG in Melbourne on Sunday.
The white-ball legend was one of a number of the biggest names in the history of the sport to react as Englandβs men claimed the T20 crown for the second time in their history.

And there were plenty of compliments too for Pakistan's performances in the final and throughout the competition, with Sachin Tendulkar among those to point to the unfortunate timing of Shaheen Afridi's injury as a pivotal moment in Sunday's match.
