Big blow for England as pacer is ruled out of Champions Trophy
England have brought in spinner Rehan Ahmed to replace Brydon Carse, who has been ruled out of the rest of tournament due to a toe injury.
With two fixtues left to be played for England in Group B, injury concerns have hit their camp as right-arm seamer Brydon Carse has been ruled out of the Champions Trophy 2025 after sustaining a toe injury following England's loss to Australia in Lahore.
20-year-old Rehan Ahmed takes his place in the side as England look for a last-four spot. The spinner has so far picked 10 wickets in six ODI outings with the ball for England.
England are currently in a tight spot in Group B after losing out to Australia in their tournament opener after Josh Inglis powered a historic 352-run chase.
