The ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy in Trafalgar Square

Join a free weekend of celebration to enjoy the spirit of this vibrant global game!

The people of London are invited to head down to the free-to-enter Fanzone, which will feature cricket activities, live music, entertainment and food and drink from around the world, not to mention a live screening of the Cricket World Cup Final!

The Fanzone in London will open on Friday 12 July, when the inaugural criiio cup will be held in Trafalgar Square.

There will be an array of activities for all the family to take part in on Saturday, before all attention turns to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 Final on Sunday 14 July, which will be broadcast on a giant screen in Trafalgar Square.

FRIDAY 12 JULY

Fanzone opens 10:00 AM

Discover the world premiere of criiio, the new international tournament of street cricket. Six top street cricket teams are coming together from Indonesia, India, Great Britain, Brazil, Rwanda and Germany to showcase their skills. Come along to support these grassroots champions, enjoy energising entertainment from each of the team’s cultures, and learn about informal cricket across four continents. There will also be plenty of cricket activities and entertainment for all to enjoy!

SATURDAY 13 JULY

Fanzone opens 10:00 AM

Meet the best of the tournament. Over seven weeks, Fanzones have taken over seven city centres from Durham to Southampton with fun activities, free coaching and dynamic local performers celebrating their ties to each World Cup nation. For the eighth and final Fanzone, the best dancers and musicians from each city are coming to celebrate with us in London. So, join us to soak up the atmosphere, and take a swing at cricket while you’re at it!

SUNDAY 14 JULY

Fanzone opens 10:00 AM
Live screening 10:30 AM: ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Final

Catch the big match on the big screen. The eyes of the world will be on London and Lord’s, for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Final. Cheer on the finalists with the rest of the city and enjoy family-friendly activities and performances across Trafalgar Square. It’s going to be a wicket day!

Please note, tickets for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 Final will NOT be sold at the Fanzone.

Conditions of Entry

In the interests of public safety during events, entry into the venue shall constitute an acceptance of the following terms and conditions and should be read and adhered to in conjunction with any ticket conditions:

  • Entry to the event is free and un-ticketed, there is no automatic re-admission or pass-outs. Re-admission may require queuing for re-entry and is at the discretion of the organisers.
  • Please follow any direction/instruction given by event safety stewards.
  • Searching is a condition of entry to protect your safety and that of other visitors. We may conduct security searches of clothing, bags and other items, at our reasonable discretion, including on entry and exit. Failure to submit to any requested search by authorised personnel will lead to refusal of admission or ejection from the venue.
  • The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission or eject any persons for anti-social or threatening behaviour, actions likely to cause damage or injury, or those that are intoxicated through alcohol or illegal substances.
  • The organisers will not take responsibility for lost possessions &/or prohibited items.

Prohibited items include but are not restricted to;

  • Alcohol
  • Glass and cans
  • Large items of luggage
  • Chairs and portable furniture
  • Golf / pointed umbrellas, parasols
  • Air horns, musical instruments and the like
  • Laser pens, fireworks, flares, smoke canisters
  • Animals (with the exception of registered assistance dogs)
  • Drones
  • Selfie sticks
  • Any objects or clothing bearing political statements or commercial identification intended for ambush marketing
  • Large flags, banners and the like
  • Knives, blades and other articles which could be used as a weapon
  • Any other item which in the reasonable opinion of the security personnel or the organiser could be used as a weapon or cause nuisance to others.

A check 25 age verification policy will be in operation for the sale or supply of alcohol. The organisers reserve the right to refuse to serve alcohol to those that are intoxicated or are likely to become intoxicated if further alcohol is served.

Filming, photography and broadcasting takes place during events at this venue. All persons at the venue give their express consent to the use of their actual or simulated likeness and voice in connection with the production, exploitation and advertising of the event without compensation or credit, throughout the world.
