South Africa's David Miller has been handed an official reprimand for dissent during the Super Eights match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 against England on Friday.

In the 19th over, after facing a full toss delivery from Sam Curran, Miller signalled for a review as he had expected it to be called a no ball.

Because a review was not possible, the action constituted dissent at an umpire's decision, and thus breached Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct.

Miller has also had a demerit point added to his disciplinary record; it is his first offence in a 24-month period.

Miller admitted the charge put forward by match officials Chris Brown, Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid, Joel Wilson and Chris Gaffaney, and accepted the sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing.
