Women's World Cup Qualifier 2025 Warm-up Wrap Day 3

Ireland beat Thailand in their second ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025 warm-up fixture while hosts Pakistan breezed past West Indies with a resilient performance.

Pakistan seal another solid win

Hosts Pakistan pulled off another powerful performance, making it two wins out of two in the warm-up games.

Muneeba Ali took charge in the chase, smashing an unbeaten 87 off 130 deliveries, while Natalia Pervaiz pitched in with a crucial unbeaten 53 as they sealed the deal with five wickets and 23 balls to spare in Lahore in the 189-run chase.

The pair added 93 runs for the sixth wicket after Pakistan were reduced from 99/2 to 99/5 in the span of six deliveries, including the crucial loss of skipper Fatima Sana for a first-ball duck.

Despite the flurry of wickets, Muneeba and Natalia steadied ship and ensured there were no further hiccups, helping take the side through to victory in a morale-boosting chase.

Pakistan v West Indies, warm-up scorecard

Earlier, the hosts made West Indies question their decision to bat first after winning the toss, as Pakistan's bowlers inflicted early damage.

Both openers, Qiana Joseph and Rashada Williams, were dismissed early by Sadia Iqbal, reducing the Windies to 7/2. Rameen Shamim and Nashra Sandhu chipped in with a wicket each, and Sadia struck again to claim her third wicket of the day, leaving West Indies reeling at 36/5.

Runs finally began to flow thanks to the West Indies' middle order, with Shabika Gajnabi top-scoring with an unbeaten 68 off 77 balls and Jannillea Glasgow contributing 41 off 50. Despite the late resurgence, the early collapse prevented the visitors from posting a big total, as they ended their innings at 188/8.

After Little's dismissal at 205, Delany retired soon after. Arlene Kelly and Ava Canning then guided Ireland over the finish line, securing a three-wicket victory.
