India duo close in as England spinner holds on to top ranking

A rankings boost for a pair of India's best players, despite the early exit for the side at the T20 World Cup.

Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh have been rewarded for some good performances at the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup by making inroads at the top of the ICC Women's T20I Bowler Rankings.

The pair combined for 11 wickets for India at the T20 World Cup, with Deepti rising one rung and Renuka gaining two spots as they share equal third place on the list for T20I bowlers behind England spinner Sophie Ecclestone.
