Ben Stokes celebrates a century of brilliance with 100th Test for England

Ben Stokes will join the prestigious 100-Test club when he steps onto the field during the third Test against India in Rajkot.

England captain Ben Stokes became the 76th player in the world to have played 100 Test matches and 16th for England.

Among the active English players, only James Anderson and Joe Root have more Test appearances.

Stokes made his debut against Australia in 2013 and in the 99 matches since then, has scored 6251 runs at an average of 36.34 while also picking up 197 wickets.

One of Stokes' memorable moments in Test cricket includes his remarkable unbeaten 135 against Australia in Leeds, orchestrating a near-impossible chase of 359 in the fourth innings alongside the tail.

During a challenging phase for England in Test cricket, Stokes was tasked with turning things around and was rewarded with the captaincy in 2022.
