Ravindra Jadeja reacts to entering elite list of Indian bowlers
India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took a five-wicket haul in Mumbai on day one of the third Test match against New Zealand.
Ravindra Jadeja's five-wicket haul helped India restrict New Zealand in the first innings on day one of the third ICC World Test Championship match.
Speaking about his perfomance, Jadeja attributed some of it to luck, citing that he bowled as well in the Pune Test match too without getting much luck.
"There was not much change," Jadeja said.
"But there was not much bounce in Pune. I think there was a little bounce and turn here. And the ball was going well off the wicket.
"The ball was turning well after bouncing. And sometimes it happens that you don't get a wicket even on a turning track. That the batter keeps on getting beaten and you are not able to get a wicket. So sometimes it happens."

Jadeja joined an elite list with his five-wicket haul, surpassing Ishant Sharma and Zaheer Khan to become one of the top five wicket-takers in Tests for India.
With 314 wickets in his career, Jadeja now comes fifth in the list behind ome big names of Indian cricket.
"I didn't know that. I look at the stats when I am not playing," he said.
"Good that I'm progressing and taking wickets. You got to mix your pace on this wicket.
"You can't bowl too slow, there's bounce but not much pace. You got to use your shoulder and get more revs to generate the bounce."

Despite bowling well, India find themselves in a pickle in the Test match after a late collapse in the final session when they lost three wickets in the space of six runs and eight balls.
Speaking of the collapse, Jadeja said it happened too fast for him to process.
"We did not get much time, everything happened in 10 minutes. But it happens, it is a team game, we cannot blame anyone.
"We can blame everyone, but the next batters, we will have to make small partnerships tomorrow morning. And we will have to do as much as we can do in the second innings."
